SanDollar Travel Group (SandDollar), merges several APVG business models together with the initiatives and programs of its principal joint venture partner the CBO Foundation, mainly to promote its ocean-issue awareness of companies SandDollar will operate.
SandDollar will build and operate a socially responsible new physical and online travel agency brand and a number of stand-alone branded operating divisions, as listed below:
The Tropical Reef Travel Cafe (TRTC) business model is the core SandDollar agency division which most other divisions will be built around. TRTC will build, own and operate its proposed franchise-like tropical themed food and beverage operations, wrapped within a full-service travel agency. Travel Cafes will feature
saltwater aquariums, Maui-grown Hawaiian coffee, a unique menu of healthy food items, including its signature BaggeddAboudIt brand of sandwiches, salads tapas and pizzas, plus serve beer, wine, smoothies and other specialties.
The Tropical Reef Travel Services (TRTS) division will develop and operate a full serve travel agency specializing in destination ocean front resorts, hotels, cruises and yacht charter vacations. They administer the brands online travel booking engine and travel rewards redemptions, hold the primary travel licenses and certificates, train all personal, and oversee all compliance issues. They will hire and place all agents within Travel Café locations.
The Tropical Reef Travel Network (TRTN) will develop the 24-hour Travel Cafe Channel and related ocean-focused programming that will be broadcast within all Travel Cafes. They will offer travel-related partner brands the opportunity to advertise on the Travel Channel, which will show webisodes of The AngelPreneur, showcase its sailing yacht charters, new logo-branded and reusable product. They
will develop and offer a streaming service to allows customers to watch at home.
MySandDollars.com (MSD$), is the SandDollar travel rewards
program (still in development) that will be integrated across
all APVG brands, but mainly serve as the point of purchase
loyalty rewards program within all Travel Cafes.
MSD$ is a joint venture with the CBO Foundation, which owns the program SandDollar will develop and operate. As such, MSD$ will promote its ocean-issues online and within Travel Cafes for members to participate in to earn SandDollars (SD$) the programs virtual currency (instead of points).
Utilizing an integrated marketing approach, the collective SandDollar brand will expand rapidly to drive solid growth for all related divisions. Although MSD$ is free to join, it will offer several paying memberships to allow members to earn greater SD$ values and redeem free travel offers faster.
The background theme of the SandDollar business is focused around promoting tropical island or beach travel, ocean front destination resort lodging, cruise ship travel and offer exclusive private yacht charter sailing vacations. This theme is laced with a social fabric of helping increase awareness of important ocean and marine life issues, such as ocean plastic waste reduction, marine life conservation, reducing global overfishing and shark finning practices.
SandDollar's goal will be to deliver a consistent message strategy through a well-understood travel metric, which showcases the beauty and importance of the oceans, while addressing the need to protect them. We accomplish this by bringing the ocean directly into the daily lives of our members and guests online or through a local Travel Cafe.
